Making a Difference, One Child At A Time

Lyle For Kids, is a 501 (c)(3) not for profit organization created to provide recreational, educational and cultural programming for children and adults. In conjunction with the 6th Ward Service Office, Lyle For Kids runs the following programs each year:

Souls of Black Folk Oratory Contest

South Side Little League Parade and Picnic

6th Ward Bike Ride

6th Ward Graduates' Reception

6th Ward Friends and Family Picnic

Cole Park Classic Basketball Clinic and Tournament

75th St. Back to School Nike & League Styles Block Party

Lyle for Kids also held a Senior Citizens' Service Fair and the 6th Ward Educational Summit. In 2005, Ald. Lyle and Lyle For Kids helped the South Side Little League celebrate their new baseball diamond at Tuley Park and travel to Washington D.C. where the Biddies played T-ball on the White House Lawn.
